GYROKINESIS®

Overview

The Gyrokinesis Method is a movement method that addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original and unique method that coordinates movement, breath and mental focus.

The Gyrokinesis Method is practiced on a mat and chair without equipment. Without the feedback and guidance of equipment, participants in a Gyrokinesis class are more dependent on their own proprioception to explore movement sequences.

Who does the Gyrokinesis Method?

People from all walks of life take the Gyrokinesis exercise classes, including accomplished athletes, fitness enthusiasts, senior citizens, and people recovering from an injury or dealing with a disability.

GYROKINESIS® Folding Chair

The Gyrokinesis® folding chair is a compact, foldable stool designed for use in GYROKINESIS® movement classes. It's typically made of solid wood, has a padded seat, and is designed for easy storage and transportation. The chair is a core piece of equipment in Gyrokinesis® classes, where it's used as a starting point for exercises that focus on opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, and increasing range of motion through flowing, rhythmic movements.

GYROKINESIS® Mat

GYROKINESIS® Mat Designed by Juliu Horvath to support the body in all Gyrokinesis floor positions. These specially designed mats provide a cushioned platform and have a sturdy, low friction surface which allows the mat to stay in place without gripping or bunching  during fluid movement transitions.
